Design, build and commission
The basic wastewater system was upgraded to include an aerated tank for biological treatment of the winery wastewater, an automatic lime dosing system for pH neutralisation, and an irrigation system including pump, timer and disposal field. Use of lime mitigates the effects of sodium, present in the wastewater, on soil in keeping with sustainable winegrowing guidelines. Apex were responsible for design and installation of the system, plus provision of a new electrical control panel and point to point wiring oversight.
